Zip Lining in Playa del Carmen

There is nothing quite like a trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Not only are the beaches beautiful, there is a lot to do outside of the resorts. Playa Del Carmen is one of my favorite places to visit I have been there twice, and each time is new and exciting.

I am a big fan of all-inclusive resorts being able to eat and drink as much as you want, and it is all included in the price, sign me up! There is something to do for everyone including your kids! One of my favorite things to do while in Mexico is an all-day excursion or tour. You get to leave the resort for the whole day and experience something a little different.

I have done quite a few excursion tours on my trips there. I have to admit that I am afraid of heights. I have always been, but I decided to take a chance and zip line through the jungle. I can’t tell you how high it was because I told the tour guides, "do not tell me so I wouldn’t back out". I know I climbed up lots of stairs on a tower each time to get up to the platform. I was so nervous my first time, but it was absolutely a thrill! There is nothing more peaceful than ziplining in the jungle. You get time to just take in the scenery and try to not look too far down if you’re afraid of heights like I am. I have now gone zip ling twice, but I did two very different excursions on my two trips. The first one I was able to also go snorkeling with sea turtles, which I highly recommend because it was such an amazing experience. Most excursions also give you the option to swim in a cave, which is beautiful and very unique but also a bit cold.

If you are not wanting to dedicate a whole day to an excursion most resorts have water activities at the beach. There are usually outside vendors on the beach that you can rent jets ski and other water activities. I was able to go parasailing. It is an absolute thrill to be able to be up so high looking down at the crystal blue water. I loved being able to admire the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico and seeing all of the different marine life. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will definitely do again.

I recommend that everyone tries out excursions and activities while in Mexico you will definitely not regret it and have lots of fun pictures for social media to make all of your friends and family envious of your trip.
